Peter watched his friend suffer and wished more than anything he could get him out of there. But he had to remind himself, this wasn’t his friend.. He’d changed so much and Peter knew he could really end up being the bad guy and Peter would have no choice but to fight him when the time came. But he still had hope.
”That’s your promise to me huh? Well, let me make you a promise. I’m never going to give up on you. Never. “
Peter didn’t know where it came from. He should’ve walked out and never saw Harry again, but how? Harry was the only person in his life besides Aunt May that he cared about and despite what he turned into, he couldn’t let him live like this. He had to try and find a way to make this all better.
Harry’s blood was boiling now , A green tint to his eyes that were normally a blue that was brighter than the sky. He wanted to see Peter in fear. God dammit! If only he could get through the glass separating them. If only…
” — Not even when I slit your throat and laugh as I watch you bleed out? Hm? Maybe you should care about as much as my Father did , then it’ll hurt less when I do so. “
His father , something the Goblin never brought up before that day. Something that proved Harry was still in there. Only Peter truly under- stood how he felt about his father. Afterall , he was his best friend and when things were tough , he had no one else to go to. Before anymore can be said , a guard is rushing in with another in tow. When he tells Harry to put his arms behind his back , hand on gun , Harry merely scoffs and does so. As he’s cuffed , he keeps his eyes on Peter.
” I hope you’re happy , Peter. Because it’s all your fucking fault I’m in here… Tell Gwen I say hello , will you? “
One last sinister smirk is given as he moves with the guards , leaving the room. He doesn’t expect to see Peter again. No , he figures that Peter will come to his senses , be too afraid to come again or just not even bother.
